“As well as the big city bustle of cool bars and restaurants, Sweden’s capital embraces nature during the long sunny summer days.” – Stephen Whitlock, Condé Nast Traveller July/2011.
There’s a great article about Stockholm in the July issue of Conde Nast Traveller UK. We are very proud that many of our partners in the Stockholm Gay & Lesbian Network are featured in the article - Berns Hotel, Hotel Skeppsholmen, The Woodland Cemetery, Millesgården, The Hallwyl Museum and a boat tour to Drottningholm by Strömma.
Our dear friends The Hilton Brothers are touring Stockholm, West Sweden and Skåne this week and we had them to do their own meatballs at Hotel Skeppsholmen in Stockholm the other day.
Even people who don’t know much about Swedish food will probably at least have heard of, or tried, the great dish that is Swedish meatballs.
Check out Cook like James for a recipe of traditional Swedish meatballs.
First of all Happy Easter everyone!
Today Hotel Skeppsholmen, one of the partner hotels in Stockholm Gay & Lesbian Network, is featured in the New York Times.
“Combine a friendly staff and a serene location within striking distance of the city’s action, and the Hotel Skeppsholmen hits every mark. With the Byredo candle burning in the lobby and dramatic hallway light installations, the whole place oozes chic; even the elevator is inexplicably cool.”
